International survey about perceptions of dog behaviour

CALLING ALL ADULTS TO TAKE PART IN AN INTERNATIONAL SURVEY ABOUT  PERCEPTIONS OF DOG BEHAVIOUR 

James Oxley is a PhD student in the department of Livestock and One Health at the University of Liverpool and together with his supervisors (Dr Carri Westgarth and Dr Georg Meyer) we are currently recruiting adults to take part in an international online survey. This survey is open to both dog owners and non-dog owners.

They are trying to understand how humans perceive dog behaviour and behave around them. Therefore, this research aims to assess human recognition and interpretation of canine behaviours. To do this a survey, and videos of a simulated dog (known as DAVE [Dog Assisted Virtual Environment]), will be used.

Eligibility criteria:

• You are 18 years or older and currently read and write in English
• You do not have a phobia of most dogs.
• You can complete this survey with sound on.

How do I take part?

We recommend that you use a PC or laptop to complete this survey. 

The survey is anonymous and will take around 10 minutes to complete.
